LEADING THROUGH MIND, BODY, AND HEART.
LISA MCKENZIE
An openness to change and be adaptable has been required for me to master in both my personal and professional life. As a child of parents plagued with addiction and disease, I learned at a young age what it feels like to live out of alignment. Life has taught me to live and work with others who are in alignment with my own values of connection, independence, creativity, authenticity, and empathy. As a mom of 4 creative and talented humans and an adult with ADHD working in high-performing teams, learning how to self-manage my thoughts, emotions, and actions has been a game changer! Badass leadership means I have learned to love my whole self. I am most genuine in my leadership when I balance my mind, body, and heart - in life and in work! I believe this is possible for you and I can't wait to show you how!

MY VALUES:

CONNECTION - the ability to hold space for myself and others to feel valued, seen and heard. To be able to have others drawn to me because of how I make them feel in the space I hold for them. To connect in a way that ignites a "spark" between me and them to come back to the relationship often. This is with family, peers, anyone I serve and those who serve me.

INDEPENDENCE - to me, independence is a choice of my own where I view freedom as something that is more often given to me. I choose to have independence in many areas of my life and have a need to be by myself in order to reflect, be creative, and expand my own mind. Independence is the ability and capability to live life on my own terms, by my choice.

CREATIVITY - the expression of value, worth, perspective, and emotion through a medium (movement, art, music, PowerPoint, presentation, etc). The ability and capability to think differently about how to create that specific expression.

AUTHENTICITY - to be my own person - true to myself and unique in my own ways. To live in a way that is not always on "trend" with social styles and expectations. To show up with integrity as who I am and not as a copy of others or as what is expected by others. I have quirks that make me unique and I am not afraid to show them.
EMPATHY - to be able to place myself in other's shoes and see perspectives from different viewpoints. To have a deep understanding of how someone else may be feeling or reacting. To think of others' reactions and feelings in consideration of how I respond.
